Lawrence County in northeastern Kentucky... Northwestern Mingo County in southern West Virginia... Lincoln County in central West Virginia... Logan County in southern West Virginia... Southern Wayne County in western West Virginia... Northwestern Boone County in central West Virginia... * Until 800 AM EDT. * At 724 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles east of Hode to Paintsville, moving southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Williamson, Madison, Louisa, Logan, Blaine, Chapmanville, Man, Fort Gay, Delbarton, Ranger, Mount Gay-Shamrock, Harts, Martha, Gill, Mallory, Ulysses, Chief Logan State Park, East Lynn Lake, Charley, and Julian. This includes Route 119 between mile markers 1 and 60. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT for northeastern Kentucky...and central, southern and western West Virginia.
