Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 6 at 2:55PM EDT until June 6 at 3:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA The Severe Thunderstorm Warning that was previously in effect has been reissued for Marion, Monongalia, Greene, Wetzel, Allegheny, and Washington Counties and is in effect until 345 PM EDT. Please refer to that bulletin for the latest severe weather information. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM EDT for portions of southwest Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia.

Southeastern Washington County in southwestern Pennsylvania... Southern Westmoreland County in southwestern Pennsylvania... Preston County in northeastern West Virginia... Marion County in northern West Virginia... Monongalia County in northern West Virginia... Eastern Wetzel County in northern West Virginia... * Until 345 PM EDT. * At 247 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from near White Oak to near Jacksonburg, or along a line from 5 miles southeast of McKeesport to 13 miles west of Mannington, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include... Morgantown, Monroeville, Greensburg, McKeesport, Fairmont, Uniontown, Jeannette, Latrobe, Connellsville, Waynesburg, Westover, Kingwood, Mannington, Star City, Terra Alta, Jefferson Hills and North Versailles. Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing widespread damaging winds. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
