Air Quality Alert issued July 15 at 5:58PM EDT by NWS Albany NY The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality Action Day for Fine Particulates, from 6 AM Thursday to 11 PM EDT Thursday night. An Air Quality Action Day means that Fine Particulates concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. Children and older adults, as well as people with heart or lung disease, should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion. Exposure to elevated levels of fine particles such as wood smoke can increase the likelihood of respiratory symptoms in sensitive individuals and aggravate heart or lung disease.
