Flood Watch issued June 6 at 1:53PM CDT until June 7 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Oklahoma, including the following counties, Atoka, Beckham, Blaine, Bryan, Caddo, Canadian, Carter, Cleveland, Coal, Comanche, Cotton, Custer, Dewey, Garfield, Garvin, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Hughes, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnston, Kingfisher, Kiowa, Lincoln, Logan, Love, Major, Marshall, McClain, Murray, Noble, Oklahoma, Payne, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Seminole, Stephens, Tillman and Washita and northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Hardeman, Knox, Wichita and Wilbarger. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Special Weather Statement issued June 6 at 5:40PM CDT by NWS Norman OK At 540 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 5 miles south of Milo to 3 miles south of Overbrook to 3 miles south of Thackerville. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Ardmore, Madill, Marietta, Lone Grove, Healdton, Wilson, Kingston, Dickson, Mannsville, Springer, Thackerville, Gene Autry, Overbrook, Lake Murray, Lebanon, Willis, Lake Texoma, Oakland, and Sherwood Shores. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
