Chikaskia River near Blackwell affecting Kay and Grant Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Chikaskia River near Blackwell. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Several residences may be surrounded with street depths approaching 2 feet in the northeast portions of Blackwell. Highway 177 north of Blackwell may be flooded... while Hubbard Road may be impassable southeast of Blackwell. Rural lands are covered by floodwaters ranging up to 2 feet in depth in extreme northeastern Grant and Kay counties. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 29.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 28.0 feet. - Forecast...The Chikaskia River is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling. - Flood stage is 29.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
