Air Quality Alert issued June 5 at 3:45PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert Saturday for Monmouth County. A code orange air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children...people suffering from asthma... heart disease or other lung diseases...and the elderly. Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 6 at 7:52PM EDT until June 6 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However gusty winds are still possible with these thunderstorms. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for southern, central and northern New Jersey...and southeastern Pennsylvania.
