North central Roosevelt County in northeastern Montana... Central Sheridan County in northeastern Montana... * Until 900 PM MDT. * At 813 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Medicine Lake, or 17 miles south of Plentywood, moving north at 25 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include... Plentywood, Medicine Lake, Archer, Reserve, Antelope, and Raymond. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds and tornadoes.
