Missoula, Butte, Frontage Road from Bearmouth to Drummond, West Valley near Anaconda, Philipsburg, Eds Gulch in Drummond, New Chicago area just east of Drummond, Johnson Fire Burn Area, Daly Fire Burn Area and Sharrott Fire Burn Area. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Special Weather Statement issued July 1 at 5:52PM MDT by NWS Missoula MT At 552 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 16 miles east of Stevensville to 13 miles west of Philipsburg, or extending from 23 miles northeast of Hamilton to 29 miles east of Hamilton, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Mainly rural areas of North Central Ravalli and Central Granite Counties. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
