Flood Watch issued June 7 at 1:26PM CDT until June 8 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of central Missouri, including the following areas, Boone MO, Callaway MO, Cole MO, Moniteau MO and Osage MO. * WHEN...Through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall are expected across the watch area through Monday morning. Rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is possible with locally higher amounts which could result in flash flooding where soils are already moistening. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Southwestern Callaway County in central Missouri... Western Cole County in central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 1130 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 823 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jefferson City, Ashland, Holts Summit, Columbia Regional Airport, St. Martins, Russellville, New Bloomfield, Lake Mykee Town, Centertown, Lake Mykee, Brazito, Hickory Hill, Marion, Lohman, Eugene, Hartsburg, Elston, Wilton and Guthrie. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
