Flood Watch issued June 7 at 10:22PM CDT until June 8 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas, including the following area, Linn KS and Missouri, including the following areas, Adair, Bates, Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Grundy, Lafayette, Linn MO, Livingston, Macon, Mercer, Putnam, Randolph, Ray, Schuyler and Sullivan. * WHEN...Through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Periods of heavy rain are possible with showers and thunderstorms tonight through Monday morning. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Grand River near Chillicothe affecting Livingston and Linn Counties. Grand River near Sumner affecting Livingston, Chariton, Linn and Carroll Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Grand River near Sumner. * WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage begins to flood. At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded. At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 32.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.3 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
