Flood Watch issued June 20 at 8:17PM CDT until June 21 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Kansas, including the following areas, Atchison KS, Doniphan, Johnson KS, Leavenworth, Linn KS, Miami and Wyandotte and Missouri, including the following areas, Adair, Andrew, Atchison MO, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Clay, Clinton, Cooper, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Howard, Jackson, Johnson MO, Lafayette, Linn MO, Livingston, Macon, Mercer, Nodaway, Pettis, Platte, Putnam, Randolph, Ray, Saline, Schuyler, Sullivan and Worth. * WHEN...Through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Special Weather Statement issued June 21 at 6:51AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO At 650 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Brunswick to 12 miles north of Pilot Grove to Otterville. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Boonville, Fayette, Slater, Salisbury, Huntsville, Glasgow, New Franklin, Pilot Grove, Keytesville, Otterville, Bunceton, Armstrong, Prairie Home, Gilliam, Blackwater, Clifton Hill, Franklin, Arrow Rock, Dalton, and Prairie Hill. This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 88 and 111. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Pleasant Hill.
