Big Black River Near Bentonia affecting Yazoo and Madison Counties. Big Black River Near Bovina affecting Warren and Hinds Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Big Black River near Bovina. * WHEN...Until early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 32.0 feet, Several access roads along and near the river are under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 27.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 31.0 feet Friday morning. - Flood stage is 28.0 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
