In northeast Maryland, Cecil. In northern Maryland, Northern Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Southeast Harford and Southern Baltimore. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms will develop into an increasingly humid airmass this evening. This, combined with recent rainfall, may result in flash flooding, particularly along small streams and in urban areas. Localized totals of 2 to 4 inches of rain are possible. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information. Air Quality Alert issued July 4 at 4:40PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC The Maryland Department of the Environment has issued a Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert Sunday for the Baltimore City Metro and Annapolis region. A Code Orange Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases and the elderly. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
