Flood Watch issued June 27 at 10:44AM CDT until June 28 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following areas, Alexander, Edwards, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry IL, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, Wabash, Wayne IL, White and Williamson, southwest Indiana, including the following areas, Gibson, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick, western Kentucky, including the following areas, Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Daviess, Fulton, Graves, Henderson, Hickman, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, McLean, Muhlenberg, Todd, Trigg, Union KY and Webster, and southeast Missouri, including the following areas, Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Mississippi, New Madrid, Perry MO, Ripley, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne MO. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of very heavy rainfall may produce flash flooding through tonight. Many areas have already received amounts of 2-5", with localized swaths in excess of 6". Flash Flood Warning issued June 27 at 10:15AM CDT until June 27 at 12:45PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY At 1015 AM CDT, The heaviest rainfall is moving out of the area for at least the next several hours. Two day totals of 6 to 8 inches have led to significant flooding. Waters will likely be slow to recede. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Evansville, Boonville, Newburgh, Chandler, Melody Hill, Darmstadt and Kasson. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
