Movement was east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Locations impacted include... Brunswick, St. Simons Island, Dock Junction, St Simons Island Village, Country Club Estates, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, Boys Estate, and Dover Bluff. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... * Until 815 PM EDT. * At 715 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 20 nm northwest of St Simons Island Village to 14 nm west of St. Simons Island to 14 nm southwest of Jekyll Island, moving east at 30 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... St Simons Island Village, St Simons Sound Buoy 9, St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Saint Andrews Sound, and Buoy F. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms.
