Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Red Flag Warning issued June 16 at 1:04PM MDT until June 16 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a Red Flag Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Wednesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 220, 222, 223 and 224. * TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, until 9 PM MDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from noon to 9 PM MDT Wednesday. * WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. The strongest winds will occur Wednesday afternoon. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent. * IMPACTS...Elevated fire danger is expected. Fires will catch and spread rapidly and erratically. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
