Red Flag Warning issued June 5 at 12:03PM MST until June 7 at 8:00PM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZ The National Weather Service in Flagstaff AZ has issued a Red Flag Warning due to strong winds and low relative humidity in effect from 10 AM MST /11 AM MDT/ to 8 PM MST /9 PM MDT/ Sunday, and a Fire Weather Watch due to strong winds and low relative humidity in effect from Monday morning through Tuesday evening. * WHAT...For the Red Flag Warning, southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, Relative Humidity between 9 to 18 percent, and for the Fire Weather Watch, south winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, Relative Humidity between 7 to 16 percent. * WHERE...Yavapai County Mountains, Chuska Mountains and Defiance Plateau, Little Colorado River Valley, Mogollon Rim, Black Mesa Area, and Northeast Plateaus and Mesas South of Hwy 264. This includes portions of the Apache-Sitgreaves, Coconino, Kaibab, and Prescott national forests. * WHEN...For the Red Flag Warning, from 10 AM MST /11 AM MDT/ to 8 PM MST /9 PM MDT/ Sunday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Monday morning through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Rapid spread and growth of any new or existing fires. Fires will have the potential to exhibit extreme fire behavior. Elevated potential for new fire starts.
