Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing excessive rainfall today. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flood Warning issued June 8 at 3:14AM CDT until June 8 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Huntsville AL * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding along Indian Creek caused by excessive rainfall. * WHERE...A portion of north central Alabama, including the following county, Madison. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...It will take several hours for all the water from heavy rainfall yesterday to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 311 AM CDT, Gauge reports indicate that Indian Creek remains in minor flood stage due to heavy rainfall yesterday. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northwestern Huntsville, Madison, Redstone Arsenal, Triana, Marshall Space Flight Center and Harvest. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
