Southern Lincoln County in Middle Tennessee... * Until 500 PM CDT. * At 404 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Harvest, or 7 miles east of Athens, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Huntsville, Decatur, Madison, Athens, Moores Mill, Redstone Arsenal, Meridianville, Hazel Green, Owens Cross Roads, and Ardmore. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm.
