Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Recent heavy rainfall has caused saturated soils, which will increase the risk of flash flooding as additional rainfall moves in. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flood Warning issued June 7 at 6:00PM CDT until June 7 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Huntsville AL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of Alabama, including the following counties, DeKalb, Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan and southern middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Franklin TN and Lincoln. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 600 PM CDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 4 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Huntsville, Madison, Scottsboro, Guntersville, Fayetteville, Rainsville, Bridgeport, Moores Mill, Meridianville, Redstone Arsenal, Hazel Green, Henagar, Stevenson, Sylvania, Cowan, Owens Cross Roads, Fyffe, Hollywood, Powell and Grant. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Flint River at Brownsboro affecting Madison County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Flint River at Brownsboro. * WHEN...Until late Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Floodwaters reach a house trailer off of Brownsboro Road and waters likely cover Brownsboro Road to the point that it must be closed. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:00 PM CDT Sunday was 18.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.0 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
