Red Flag Warning issued June 8 at 1:03PM MDT until June 9 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Denver CO The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 250 and 251. * TIMING...From noon to 9 PM MDT Tuesday. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Flood Advisory issued June 8 at 6:11PM MDT until June 8 at 6:15PM MDT by NWS Denver CO The Flood Advisory will expire at 615 PM MDT this evening for a portion of northeast Colorado, including the following areas, Adams and Denver. Waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining closures.
