The heavy rain will also lead to significant flow in area washes, creeks, and rivers. * WHERE...A portion of Southeast Arizona, including the following areas, Baboquivari Mountains, Catalina and Rincon Mountains, South Central Pinal County, Southeast Pinal County, Tohono O'odham Nation, Tucson Metro Area and Upper Santa Cruz River Valley/Altar Valley. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Daytime heating will combine with a very moist atmosphere to produce scattered showers and thunderstorms which will be capable of very heavy rain. Storms will continue after sunset. Around 1 inch of rain has fallen in Tucson Estates. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the Tucson Metro Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Casas Adobes, Drexel Heights, Flowing Wells, South Tucson, Three Points, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, San Xavier Community, Tucson Mountain Park, Valencia West, Tucson Estates, Saguaro National Park West, Tucson International Airport, Catalina Foothills, Catalina State Park and Sabino Canyon Recreation Area.
